The Central Bank extended its buying streak, and on Tuesday it reached 50 consecutive sessions with interventions in the wholesale market. The day ended at US$44.721 million, after having fallen due to payments to various international organizations. The Central Bank bought an additional US$73 million. In this way, the Central Bank has acquired a total of US$3.421 million, surpassing the 33% target set at the beginning of the year. The body, led by Santiago Bausili, committed to acquiring US$10,000 million during 2026, in what they called the 'phase 4' of the monetary program. In parallel, the dollar has been operating stably and closed at $1.365 for purchase and $1.415 for sale. The Central Bank announced that the dollar's floating bands will be updated for inflation. However, the reserves failed to surpass US$45,000 million. According to what Argentine News Agency learned, the monetary entity acquired another US$73 million in the Free Exchange Market (MLC). Despite making the 50th purchase, the international reserves failed to surpass US$45,000 million.
